Why do we monitor, what is the purpose of monitoring and what are the techniques. In this presentation a general introduction to the monitoring of hydrological systems is given in view of developing an approach that 'works'. Emphasis is given to the implementation and reception of monitoring results. The slides of the presentation will be available here soon.
