Growth of population, economic and social development in Central Africa result in an expansion of irrigation schemes and of projects for energy supply. It is important to explore the sustainable use of water resources and to plan the implementation of these projects in a way that goals can be reached without compromising fundamental functions of the hydrological system that provide clean water and without affecting ecosystem functions. A wiki system is being developed to document the progress on the methodological work related to this project.
